Maple
House has been a Statesville landmark along historic, tree-lined
Davie Avenue since 1897. The Victorian structure was the
former home of Ms. Margaret Muse, a longtime Statesville
piano teacher, whose father built it as a wedding present
for his bride. In 1996, the house was converted into the
beautiful Maple House Café that you see today.
The
restaurant houses three separate year-round dining rooms
in addition to the popular seasonal front porch and terrace
areas.
The
main dining room, known as The Parlor, features an
original oak fireplace with gas logs, hardwood floors, antique
oak tables, tall lace-covered windows, a mirrored wall and
a rotating exhibit of original artwork from area artists.
The
Vineyard Room is highlighted by a mirrored bar, stained
glass panels, hardwood floors, hand stenciling and wine
accessories.
Celebrating
life on the North Carolina Frontier and named for our area's
state historical site, The Fort Dobbs Room is perfect
for intimate club lunches or small business meetings.
The
Maple House offers a unique setting for wedding receptions,
rehearsal dinners, family reunions, showers, engagement
parties, teas, club luncheons, business meetings, birthday
parties or other special occasions. We can host your special
event for as many as 65 sit-down diners in house, plus an
additional 20 at outdoor seating. More can be served if
sit-down dining is not required.
Our
attention to detail, personal service and delicious cuisine
will all highlight your special gathering at the Maple House
Cafe.
